Legal Issues in Kinship Care: A Two-Part Webinar Series
Wednesday, August 22nd, 2:00-4:00pm EST and Wednesday, August 29th, 2:00-4:00pm EST
Cost: $35 for Grassroots Network Members, $50 for Non-Member Nonprofits; $75 for Non-Member For-Profits
Presented by attorney and kinship expert Gerard Wallace, this two-part course provides a comprehensive overview of Federal and state laws that govern private and public kinship care. Participants will learn about grandparents and family rights and legal obstacles to successful caregiving. They will receive a "chart" that simplifies the many legal issues, and examine typical "hypothetical" situations faced by kinship caregivers.
This training will occur in two parts: First, on August 22nd from 2:00-4:00pm EST; and second on August 29th from 2:00-4:00pm EST. Payment includes both webinars. An internet connection is required to view the webinars. You have the option of listening in over the internet or calling a toll-free number to listen over the phone.
